We arrived in Barcelona just over a week ago and one of the first things we all wanted to do was to visit our castle-ing team, the Castellers de la Vila de Gràcia. When we lived here last year, castle-ing was a huge part of our lives, where we spent most Tuesday and Friday evenings, and lots more Sunday afternoons. They generously opened their hearts to us and made us a part of their team. We, in turn, packed our shirts and cumberbunds so we could join in while we are here, even for a few weeks.
If you're in NYC this week, you have the unique opportunity to see one of the best Castle-ing teams in the world: the Castellers de Vilafranca. In fact, even if you're not in NY, you should go to see them. Here's their schedule:
(Notice the green shirt, trademark of the "Verds" or greens of Vilafranca.)
Wednesday, June 20: Rooftop 230 Fifth Avenue, performance for the media at 8:15pm, and for the public at 9:15pm.
